Australia-wide estimating & project support

Civil, roof plumbing & cladding estimating.

Clear quantities. Defined scopes. Practical programmes. DCS supports civil contractors, roof plumbers, cladding contractors and builders from tender preparation through project delivery.

Two specialist estimating streams

Know what is in your package.

Get organised take-offs and an estimate built around your drawings, trade scope and pricing basis, with assumptions and queries recorded for review.

01 / CIVIL

Civil estimating

Quantity take-offs and tender cost planning for agreed civil work packages.

  • Earthworks: excavation, fill and disposal quantities from supplied plans and levels, with measurement assumptions identified.
  • Stormwater & drainage: pipes, pits, trenching, bedding and backfill quantities.
  • Pavements & external works: roadbase, concrete, kerbs, footpaths and paving.
  • Cost build-ups: material, labour, plant and subcontract allowances using your rates or an agreed pricing basis.
  • Tender schedules: organised quantities, scope breakdowns and drawing queries.
02 / ROOFING & CLADDING

Roof plumbing & cladding estimating

Detailed trade take-offs and estimating support for roofing, wall cladding and roof plumbing packages.

  • Roofing & wall cladding: measured areas, specified profiles, coverage and waste allowances.
  • Roof plumbing: gutters, box gutters, downpipes, rainheads and associated components.
  • Flashings & trims: cappings, ridges, barges, valleys, aprons and junction details.
  • Supporting materials: battens, top-hat sections, safety mesh, insulation and fixings where included in scope.
  • Trade pricing: material and labour build-ups, supplier-quote comparisons and tender clarifications.

We confirm the measured scope, available design information, rate basis and required outputs before starting. Design, engineering and certification responsibilities are identified separately in the agreed scope.

Support beyond the estimate

Keep scope, cost and programme connected.

Scope of Works

Clear SOW documents, inclusions, exclusions and trade interfaces. We identify assumptions, scope gaps and queries so the package can be reviewed before tender or award.

Contract administration

Practical support with variation registers, progress-claim documentation, RFIs, drawing registers and project correspondence, aligned with your agreed contract requirements.

Project scheduling

Programmes covering work sequencing, procurement, milestones and dependencies. Progress updates help make upcoming activities and changes visible.

Expert estimating, clear outputs

A package you can review and use.

Choose quantity take-offs, a priced estimate, project support or a combination that suits the job.

Deliverables and formats are agreed in your quote. Pricing assumptions and drawing revisions remain visible so you can check the basis of the work.

  • Marked-up take-offs and organised quantity schedules
  • Itemised cost estimates where pricing is included
  • Scope inclusions, exclusions and stated allowances
  • Assumptions, drawing queries and clarification lists
  • Excel and PDF outputs to suit the agreed package
  • Programme and administration records where commissioned

A straightforward start

From your drawings to a defined deliverable.

Send the package

We review the information and confirm the fee, deliverables, assumptions, review requirements and issue dates before work begins.

Review the output

Receive the agreed take-offs, estimate or project documents, with quantities and queries organised for your review.

Before you enquire

A few practical questions.

What documents should I send?

Send the current civil, architectural or structural drawings relevant to your package, specifications, scope notes and tender deadline. Include addenda and revision details so we can establish the correct basis.

Can DCS use our rates and tender template?

Yes. Provide your preferred schedule, labour rates, supplier quotations and pricing rules. We agree the rate basis, allowances and output format before preparing the estimate.

Can you help after the tender is submitted?

Yes. Scope documentation, variation and progress-claim support, project records and scheduling can be included as an agreed ongoing or project-specific service.

How much does it cost, and how long does it take?

The fee and issue dates depend on the package size, available information and required deliverables. Send the drawings and required date, and we will confirm scope, availability and a quote before work starts.

Have a package to price?

Send your plans. Let’s define the next step.

Tell us whether you need civil estimating, roof plumbing and cladding estimating, or project support. Include the project location, scope and required date.
